The Freedom To Be Who You Are

One of the keys to life is to feel that we take control of them and that we live as we really want to live, without fear, without limitations. That we are in control.
The freedom to be who you are

Each human being has a unique mark that distinguishes them and is what makes them special. However, at the same time, many of us fear being who we really are; we feel that we lack that freedom. Therefore, we are in a constant search to improve or be someone different.

This is because we are almost never satisfied with who we are or with how we are perceived. But this constant struggle between being who we want to be and not how we really are, brings us innumerable internal conflicts. All along with a good dose of stress and anxiety, and even disorders that we did not imagine we could have, such as socialization problems.

It is true that it is impossible not to be influenced by the cultural context in which we find ourselves. However, we must not let this be the one to dominate every part of who we are. Since we will lose our originality and we will question everything we do within that social context.

Why do we let ourselves be influenced?

It’s just about wanting to fit in, wanting to be accepted, and being able to enjoy a good social life. But how many times have we been told to do something we don’t want to do and we do it so as not to be rejected or teased? Under no circumstances do we want to be rejected or marginalized from society. Basically, they are influenced by that fear of seeing ourselves alone and not fitting in. For being excluded from the group.

For this reason, we sometimes think about being someone else or wishing for a different life. Because we are not satisfied with who we are, or we simply believe that others have better and more exciting lives. But is this really true? Do we stop to evaluate that life that we love so much and ours?

Many times we overlook that we are incredible people and many times admired by others around us and who are proud of us. But this is not everything, being yourself gives you the power to decide for yourself, it gives you power and freedom to act according to your own beliefs and everything you feel.

What do we lack to choose the freedom to be ourselves?

Sometimes we lack confidence and love for ourselves because we don’t know how to see our positive qualities. Generally, we tend to look at everything that we lack and that we want to improve. Obviously, we do this by comparison.

Thus, we usually always compare ourselves with those who we consider to have more and are better than us at something. And this happens when we focus excessively on our shortcomings. But it is a mistake to value oneself so unfairly and overvalue others. We are not being objective with ourselves.

You know that you are the one who takes the reins of your inner world and the outer world will help you achieve a fuller happiness, since it is true that we do not control everything, but as far as we are concerned, we will be sure that we can handle it. with simple work and effort.

But what can we do to be pampering ourselves?

Actually, there is a lot of advice that can be given to someone who wants to be himself.

  • First of all, find out who you are
  • Enhance your virtues, everything in which you stand out or are better at
  • If you do not find anything that stands out, enhance what interests you
  • Know your limits and try to improve them as much as you can
  • Follow the life that really makes you happy
  • Surround yourself with those who support you and encourage you to continue on your way

In conclusion, trying to please others all the time is not the best thing to do, because it will lead you to do things that you do not like. Don’t think too much about how people see you, envious people will always find negative things to say about you, and if you rely on it, you will be torturing yourself. Be original, I know who you are, that will give you a better life because you will be living under your own rules and possibilities. You will feel your own freedom. Ultimately, it will be you who determines your life.
